I'm getting ready to get my wolf training started again. One of the behaviors I taught them was a nose target. I started with the target stick and quickly changed my mind. They were trying to bite the ball off the end of the stick. I gave it some thought on how to successfully get the behavior. Instead of focusing on what I didn't want them to do, I shaped the size of the target to be able to communicate to them what I did want them to do.
