Tonight, Friday, August 20, 2021, the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department and City of Jacksonville were notified of potential structural concerns of the Berkman II resulting from the ongoing demolition. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with closing the 500 block of Bay Street. The Bay Street closure is projected to last through the weekend.
