HOLY GREAT MARTYR BARBARA December 17 marks the feast day of the Holy Great Martyr Barbara. She gained her crown of martyrdom during the reign of the emperor Maximian. We pray to St Barbara for the healing of seriously ill or dying people, so that they would confess and partake of the Holy Mysteries of Christ before they die.
