The cornerstone of the Grand Hotel in Hazard was found as the city was preparing to renovate the historic structure; it had been hidden for generations. It was built by D.Y. Combs in 1921 and originally known as the Combs Motel. Today is the 6th anniversary of the fire that heavily damaged the building. | WSGS
