Davey Allison put on a clinic at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 26, 1991, driving the #28 Texaco-Havoline Ford for Robert Yates Racing. He led 263 of 400 laps and survived a tense final restart with nine laps left to earn his first win of the season and the ninth of his career.
