Etiology • Caused by dermatophyte infection • Common pathogens: Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum • Common in young and middle-aged adults • Often affects only one hand • Seasonal pattern: worse in summer, milder in winter ⸻ 2.
