Feb 12, 2012 · The necks are super comfy for riffing and they sound absolutely massive. The Ibanez will sound a bit thinner with the same pickups. The soap bar thing really isn’t an issue since a lot of brands make them. Plus I really like the stability of the string through bridge. To be honest I think Ibanez are a bit on the high side price wise, new anyways.

Mar 20, 2021 · So I scored one off of the bucket list this week, the rare Ibanez 540S7. Pretty good shape, especially the frets and trem. I love the neck single coil, which seems to be a somewhat unique option, even today. But in 1991, this thing was well ahead of its time. I'll be leaving the pickups stock. They sound good, so no need to change em.

Dec 18, 2009 · Ibanez RGA shape is different than your regular carved top, say Schecter, ESP or Agile. The top is more like a curve on the whole body, similar to the S-series, instead of a pronounced "belly", that other manufacturers do.

Oct 27, 2011 · I have owned the WG587, it was my first 7, and currently own a WG587V. The stock pickups on the Washburn, to me, sound 1000000x better than Ibanez stock pickups. But, the main thing I didn't like about the Washburn, was the tune-o-matic bridge. But I don't like those on any guitar. Other than that, it comes down to neck preference.

May 11, 2020 · Personally I would love to see the original PaW Monkey Grip Universe (Which Thomas McRocklin has had for years) or some sort of twist on the 90th HAM UV Ibanez made Steve as I love the 90th HAM Jem. Jun 26, 2016 · Ironically, it had to be sold on clearance along with a TAM100. Even on clearance some Ibanez signature models are still too expensive. They sit around the shop for months and eventually have to be "given away" to move inventory. Which obviously benefited you! Congrats! Is that Petrucci's Ibanez Custom Shop 7 string by any chance?
