Jan 2, 2017 · I have had GBS 4 times (once in 1948, doctor didn’t know what it was, I was walking funny); (once in 1958 after a virus, had just PT); (once in 1989, after a virus and stressful job situation – 14 months to recover); and (once in 2002, after a virus and stressful time in my life).

Jun 9, 2016 · I was diagnosed with AMAN type GBS in July 2013 while backpacking in South East Asia (Thailand to be exact). My first symptoms were extreme abdominal pain followed by foot pain. Over the course of 2 weeks this progressed to complete paralysis from the waist down, arms, hands and abdominal muscles.

Apr 27, 2014 · My father 80 yr old was diagnosed with GBS August 2013 and was recently re-diagnosed with CIDP. Last Monday afternoon he began having a series of seizures lasting about a minute each and was rushed to the ER where he had a couple more before being given Ativan which slowed is pulmonary function to the point that he needed CPR.
