Indian frontline indices fell for the seventh straight session on February 13, with Nifty 50 and Sensex closing in the red due to mid-session selling. Selling pressure has decreased in the last two trading sessions.

Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, opened higher on Thursday, breaking a six-day losing streak, driven by gains in banking and financial stocks as investors responded to domestic inflation data suggesting a potential rate cut.

Sensex climbed 457.60 points, or 0.60 per cent, to 76,628.68. Nifty stood at 23,195.60, up 150.35 points or 0.65 per cent.
