Stars are having fun on their way into the Oscars. Best supporting actress nominee Ariana Grande, dressed in a baby pink gown with a tulle skirt, and Elle Fanning, in lacy white, held hands and laughed as they arrived.

Nobody calls it Tinseltown anymore, but after Sunday night’s Academy Awards opened with a parade of reflective, glittery silver gowns sparkling down the 900-foot red carpet (nominees Felicity Jones and Mikey Madison mugged for photos, as did Mindy Kaling, Halle Berry and Emma Stone) you could be forgiven for reviving the old nickname.
