The Little League Softball World Series, the epicenter of youth softball, is set to take over Stallings Stadium at Elm Street Park in Greenville, North Carolina from August 3-10 this year.

The hosts have been playing the most. North Carolina has gone 3-0 thus far, pulling out a series of close wins over Brazil, Indiana and Japan. They have had to grind their way through the first week of the tournament, with just one win coming by more than one run.

Saturday, the game began at 2 p.m. at Elm Street Park, and did not end the way Pitt County Softball was hoping for after losing 2-0 to Indiana in extra innings.
