Francisco Lindor’s stretch as an almost automatic out has been replaced by the opposite end of the results spectrum.

On Thursday, the Mets finally had things set up the way they wanted. Their starter, Kodai Senga, pitched into the sixth inning — something that hasn’t happened since last Wednesday, Aug. 6 — and handed the ball to right-hander Tyler Rogers, who turned the ball over to the set-up man, Ryan Helsley, with a 3-2 lead.
