The Social Security Administration has made it easier for residents with certain health conditions to be approved for disability benefits. Earlier this week, Social Security officials announced that the administration has added 13 new health conditions to the agency’s Compassionate Allowances list.

The Social Security Administration has expanded its fast-track disability program, which helps people with severe medical conditions get benefits more quickly. It now covers 300 conditions.
