Auburn men’s basketball coach Bruce Pearl declined to talk about his interest in running for the U.S. Senate when asked by AL.com on Wednesday. Pearl, along with all of the league’s football and basketball coaches,
“NEWS: Auburn has landed a commitment from Serbian big man Filip Jovic, source told @On3sports,” Joe Tipton of On3 Sports said in a post. “The 6-foot-9, 20-year-old forward averaged 12.2 points and 3.9 rebounds per game this season playing professionally for KK Mega Basket.”
With former Auburn football coach Tommy Tuberville running for governor of Alabama, basketball coach Bruce Pearl could replace him in the senate.
With Pettiford returning, Pearl expects to slide him into the starting lineup for his sophomore season. In 2024-25, Pettiford came off the bench in 37 of his 38 games played, averaging 11.6 points, 2.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 22.9 minutes per game.
Tahaad Pettiford will withdraw from the NBA draft and will return to Auburn to play for head coach Bruce Pearl.
