Islamist militants in an explosive-laden vehicle were thwarted in their attempt to overrun a Pakistani security post near the border with Afghanistan, the army said on Tuesday.

It has resulted in frequent attacks on Pakistan's security personnel, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The majority of attacks are claimed by Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
