Not too long ago, the consensus around the New York Rangers this season was that they were an unlucky team bound to break out on the scoresheet and translate into winning hockey.
The New York Rangers suffered a significant setback after defenseman Adam Fox was placed on long term injured reserve. The move follows an in-game hit against the Tampa Bay Lightning that forced Fox to exit and miss extended time.
It wasn’t a full 60-minute effort from New York, but it was enough for the team to beat Boston 6-2 and win its third in a row.
