The fight between the Trump administration and Maine’s governor continues, centering on a federal demand that the state ban transgender athletes from participating in girls sports, a move that would violate Maine law.

In a unanimous vote, the MSAD 70 School Board chose to align its policies with the federal government by recognizing two sexes, and to separate private spaces by biological sex.
