The Carolina Panthers have added depth to their outside linebacker position group. Soon-to-be former Minnesota Vikings pass rusher Patrick Jones II will enter a room that needed upgrades.

The Panthers signed Patrick Jones II on a two-year contract, bringing him over from the Vikings after four seasons.

Carolina is adding an edge rusher. The Panthers have agreed to sign Patrick Jones to a two-year deal worth up to $20 million. Jones, 26, was a Vikings third-round pick in 2021 and just completed his rookie contract.

The Carolina Panthers have been extremely active at the start of the NFL's legal tampering period. The Panthers are reportedly in agreement with former Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Tershawn Wharton on a lucrative three-year deal worth $54 million,

Outside linebacker Pat Jones II, per numerous sources, has agreed to a two-year, $20 million deal to join the Carolina Panthers. A third-round pick of the Vikings out of Pitt in the 2021 NFL Draft, Jones had a career year in 2024.
