Washington Commanders' quarterback Marcus Mariota played a pivotal role in slaying the Dallas Cowboys 23-19 at AT&T Stadium.

The Dallas Cowboys concluded their 2024 season with a 23-19 loss to the Washington Commanders. Despite the loss, several players, including linebacker Micah Parsons (today's player of the game), finished the season strong.

The season is done for the Dallas Cowboys, as the Trey Lance-led squad couldn’t survive a back-and-forth second half against the Washington Commanders, losing 23-16 in the season finale. For Lance, it was a healthy effort despite the loss in his first start since 2022, and defensively Micah Parsons had a big day with 2.5 sacks.

The Dallas Cowboys finished an underwhelming 2024 season on Sunday at AT&T Stadium with a 23-19 loss to the Washington Commanders. Despite leading late into the game, a fourth-quarter drive by Washington’s backup quarterback Marcus Mariota that resulted in a go-ahead touchdown gave Dallas its 10th loss on the year.

The 23-19 win was Washington’s 12th win on the season, Dallas’ win total each of the last three seasons. The loss dropped Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys to 7-10 on the year. Now the offeason begins for Dallas with the biggest question being whether or not McCarthy will return for a six year at the helm.

The Dallas Cowboys' 2024-25 NFL campaign is officially over following a Week 18 loss to the Washington Commanders, and we now know when they will be picking in the 2025 NFL Draft pending any future moves. Dallas holds the No. 12 overall pick in the draft, followed by a premiere second-round pick in the second round.
