Filip Chytil officially resumed skating on Thursday after suffering an upper-body injury during the New York Rangers’ Tuesday night game against the Dallas Stars. Chytil did not make an appearance in the third period as he was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Filip Chytil is still being evaluated for an upper-body injury that he sustained during the New York Rangers game against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night. Chytil was ruled out for the remainder of the night in the third period and Peter Laviolette did not provide any details into the specifics of the injury.

Filip Chytil scored twice, Jonny Brodzinski, Will Borgan, Reilly Smith and Vincent Trochek added goals, and the New York Rangers beat the Chicago Blackhawks 6-2.

Troubling news emerges for the New York Rangers as a key forward unexpectedly exits the game with four minutes remaining in the second period. The Rangers take on the Devils tonight at MSG. New York was blown out by New Jersey in their first two matchups. It gets no easier for the Blueshirts, as the team heads to Vegas on Saturday and Colorado on Tuesday.

Igor Shesterkin will return to the New York Rangers lineup on Thursday against the New Jersey Devils after missing the last four games.
