Báez tied the game at 3 with a 407-foot solo homer in the fifth off a hanging curveball from Pirates lefty starter Bailey Falter. He added another in the seventh, crushing a 410-foot shot to nearly the same spot off reliever Carmen Mlodzinski to extend the Tigers’ lead.

Pérez gave the Tigers a 4-3 lead with an RBI triple in the sixth and Báez made it a two-run game with a leadoff homer in the seventh. Greene hit a 436-foot home run to right later in the inning, making it 7-3.

Tigers outfielder Javier Baez crushed two solo homers against the Pirates to help secure the win as his bounce-back season continues.
