The 85-year-old wife of an Orlando pastor is in a coma and near death after being brutally beaten Friday by a man posing as a police officer.

The wife of an Orlando pastor was brutally beaten last week after a man pretending to be a community service officer forced his way inside her home.

Police say the suspect knocked on 85-year-old Lucy Pat Curl’s door Friday, claiming he was a “community service officer” and needed to check the home. When she asked for ID, he flashed his driver’s license then allegedly forced his way inside and attacked her.

The Orlando Police Department said a man has been arrested in connection with a brutal home invasion that occurred in Orlando Friday afternoon.
