First lady Melania Trump appeared to mimic her husband's iconic 'Trump dance' on the White House balcony on Friday evening from which the couple watched an Independence Day fireworks display over the nation's capital.

For the first time as president, Donald Trump doesn’t appear to have any public events on his calendar for 4th of July.

But it’s the Fourth of July weekend, and the Trumps must celebrate maximally. On July 4 2025, Donald and Melania hosted an Independence Day picnic for the military and their families, after Trump signed his ‘big, beautiful’ bill into law there and then that included significant tax cuts, more defence spending, and a focus on stemming immigration.
