After years of pandemic-related delays, Google Inc. has started moving employees into its sail-shaped office tower in downtown Austin, according to multiple reports.

The Austin Police Department said a man has been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting at a New Year's Eve party in north Austin.

A teen has been arrested for the murder of another teen at a New Year's party in North Austin. The shooting was Austin's first homicide of 2026.
