Half the U.S. population will likely see some effect from the sprawling storm that will move across the country this weekend, meteorologists said.

A winter storm is set to bring impacts to the region as we head into this weekend. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the entire area from Saturday through Monday afternoon. Accumulating snow is expected with a mix of sleet and freezing rain being introduced as well.
