A pair of storm systems sweeping across the country this week will bring snow, ice and thunderstorms, forecasters said.
Sunday will give a taste of the cold air with temperatures barely reaching 40 degrees and wind chills lingering in the 30s. After a brief warm-up on Monday and Tuesday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly on Wednesday, January 14, and stay below average through the weekend.
The National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory at 1:11 p.m. on Saturday valid from Sunday 1 p.m. until Tuesday 7 a.m. for Oswego, Jefferson and Lewis counties.
At 12:47 a.m. on Saturday, the National Weather Service released a winter weather advisory valid from 5 p.m. until Sunday 10 a.m. for Berkshire County.
