A young up-and-coming golfer has been identified as the heckler confronted by Rory McIlroy during a PLAYERS practice round.

A University of Texas men’s golfer was reportedly escorted out of TPC Sawgrass following an incident with Rory McIlroy during Tuesday’s practice round for The Players.

Rory McIlroy had no time for obnoxious hecklers during his practice round at The PLAYERS Championship on Wednesday.

After Rory McIlroy returned to the tee box for his second shot, he walked straight to the fan, with the club still in his hand and asked for his phone.
