A frigid Sunday will be followed by a round of light snow Sunday night across Southern New England. Lows Sunday morning will start off in the single digits and teens regionwide. Highs Sunday afternoon will struggle to make it to the freezing mark. Snow develops around 9 to 10 p.m. Sunday evening with a few hours of light to moderate snow expected.

This wasn’t supposed to be a major snowstorm by any means. In fact, most forecasts called for only a few inches of snow. But some areas wound up with almost half a foot of snow, and in some areas snow was still falling on Saturday morning.
