The Washington State Patrol has cancelled an AMBER Alert after a 14-year-old girl was found on Saturday afternoon.

The Washington State Patrol issued an Amber Alert Saturday morning for a missing 14-year-old Indigenous girl. Cheyanna Howell left Bellingham around 2 a.m. Saturday with another individual, according to the alert. She may be wearing a pink camouflage zip-up sweatshirt, red pants and carrying a gray backpack, the alert states. She wears glasses.

The forecaster has stated that it expects next week to be mostly dry, sunny, or clear, with widespread overnight frosts. However, they have also stated that the recent spell of cold, northerly winds is expected to begin easing by Tuesday, January 6.

The amber alert indicates that cold weather is likely to pose a risk to the entire population and place extra pressure on health and social care services.
