With one more game remaining in the 2025 season, the Dallas Cowboys reportedly decided to move on from one of their most notable defensive players.
The Cowboys have waived cornerback Trevon Diggs. The move ends a tumultuous final season a game early in a Dallas career that never lived up to the promise of a 2021 All-Pro performance that included 11 interceptions.
Unfortunately for Dallas, Williams’ productive play means that he’s going to garner a lot of outside interest when he hits unrestricted free agency after the season, and the Cowboys might not be able, or willing, to pay him as much as some other teams, so they’re likely to lose their best rusher from the ’25 season.
