A former top Maryland federal prosecutor with ties to the Trump administration is one of the attorneys representing Harvard University in its legal battle against the administration after officials froze billions of dollars of the university’s federal funding.

President Trump's company, the Trump Organization, has parted ways with Bill Burck, a prominent attorney who also represents Harvard University.

The move came shortly after President Trump lashed out at the lawyer, William Burck, co-managing partner of litigation powerhouse Quinn Emanuel, on social media.
