The NYPD reversed its ban on watch parties outside Madison Square Garden for the New York Knicks' first NBA Finals appearance in 27 years against the Spurs.
The NBA announced a harsh punishment for a fan who ran on the court during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night.
ESPN cameras captured the incident as the fan ran onto the court with a cellphone in hand seemingly to get a selfie with Spurs superstar Victor Wembanyama.
Ahead of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Wednesday night between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs, Knicks fans received some good news.
The league announced that it banned the fan from NBA arenas for life along with an additional fan who played a part in the interruption. It's a harsh punishment that teams have been able to use for NBA Code of Conduct violations. But it does beg the question: How can teams actually enforce a lifetime ban?
