A person familiar with the deal told The Associated Press on Sunday that the Kansas City Chiefs and linebacker Nick Bolton have agreed to a three-year, $45 million contract that keeps the quarterback of their defense out of free agency.

As the Chiefs prepared to play in the most recent Super Bowl, linebacker and upcoming free agent Nick Bolton expressed his desire to remain in Kansas City. After all, he’d been here in the area for seven seasons, including three with the Missouri Tigers.
