The Giants have requested to interview Broncos assistant head coach and special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi for their head coach vacancy, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Rizzi, a NJ native and former Rutgers assistant, worked alongside Giants general manager Joe Schoen during their time with the Dolphins.
The Broncos defensive coordinator is expected to interview virtually with the Giants, Ravens and Raiders, according to NFL Network, as he takes a day away from game preparation during a bye week in the AFC playoffs. Joseph, 53, spent two seasons as the Broncos head coach (2017-18) and compiled an 11-21 record.
