A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 10:01 p.m. for freezing rain until Wednesday at 1 a.m. for Onondaga, Madison, Cortland, Chenango and Broome counties.
A special weather statement has been issued for Toronto as freezing rain is expected to transition to heavy snow this evening.
"Another round of freezing rain will move in this evening through early tomorrow morning, with icy & slick travel expected as it falls and afterwards," the NWS Twin Cities says. "Temps will be very close to freezing, and how much ice ends up accumulating will be closely tied to how warm we are."
