Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect early today over a big portion of Mid-Michigan and Northern Michigan in the Lower Peninsula. Areas seeing an icy or wintry mix with freezing rain will see it transition to regular rainfall later this morning as temperatures rise.
The National Weather Service says that a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain could "lead to icy travel conditions" late Sunday morning into early afternoon. The Twin Cities and the counties to the north could see ice accumulations in excess of 0.01 inches between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.
