A devastating fire has left a family home in ruins in Skagit County, according to Skagit County Fire District 9 officials.

Chief Berg said the fire involved a residence with a massive attached shop, both of which were considered a total loss.

At around 12:30 p.m., crews from multiple agencies in Skagit County responded to the fire on Lake Cavanaugh Road.
