TOPEKA (KSNT) — A Shawnee County official stepped forward Friday to talk about possible data centers coming to the local area. Data centers are being proposed all over the state, and Shawnee County is no exception.

In the new agreement, Voltus will pay people who agree to participate in the virtual power plant. The plant will be part of PJM, the grid that covers much of the US East Coast.
