Storm Goretti is causing more school disruption in Cornwall this morning as the aftermath becomes clear. More than 25 schools are closed today (Friday, January 9) with many reporting power loss or inability to access the site due to fallen trees on the surrounding roads. At least 80 schools are opening late.

Cornwall police charge man with B & E, repeatedly harassing woman

A 25-year-old woman from Cornwall is facing a charge following a police response to an intimate-partner violence complaint. Police alleged the woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend. The woman was charged with domestic assault. She was released from police custody to appear in Cornwall court on Feb. 3.
