National Grid has said 44,619 properties are currently without power in the wake of Storm Goretti. There are a reported 197 power cuts across the South West. The National Grid has just updated its power map at 7.32am. Currently it lists 151 power cuts in Cornwall, with 41,731 properties affected.

Storm Goretti wreaked havoc across Cornwall overnight as the county was battered with severe winds reaching up to 127mph in some places. A rare red warning was issued across a large part of the county, from the Isles of Scilly to Bude, which expired at 11pm last night.
