DENVER — The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team has issued a Weather Impact Alert on Thursday as snow and colder temperatures will impact the Front Range, Denver metro area and Colorado mountains. Wednesday will be mild and dry in Denver, with upper 50s for high temperatures. Denver's average high temperature in early January is between 44-45 degrees.
The winter storm impacting southern Colorado is also delivering snow to Colorado's ski areas. Much of the snow has already fallen, with several more inches possible tonight.
THURSDAY NIGHT: Snow rates increase into the overnight hours with 1-2″ possible per hour. Winter weather advisories are active for Pueblo County and across the plains. Winter storm warnings will be active for El Paso County and through Walsenburg and Trinidad. Overnight lows will be in the teens and 20s with gusty winds making it feel even colder.
