The 33rd annual Valero Alamo Bowl between the No. 16 USC Trojans and the unranked TCU Horn Frogs kicks off at 8 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the Alamodome in downtown San Antonio. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

Here's a quick rundown on when and where the 2025 Alamo Bowl will be played. All matchups will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 7. All times Eastern and accurate as of Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at 7:34 p.m. Date: Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 9 p.m.

The Big Ten destinations, sources said, are: Michigan to Citrus, Iowa to ReliaQuest, Nebraska to Las Vegas, Illinois to Music City and Penn State to Pinstripe. The Pac 12 confirmed bowls: USC to Alamo, Utah to Las Vegas, Arizona to Holiday and Arizona State to Sun.

USC will face Texas Christian in its first trip to the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 30, the night before the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff kick off. Throw in the fact that the Horned Frogs finished in seventh place in the Big 12, and you don’t exactly have a marquee, made-for-TV matchup.
