On Friday, Tri-Union Seafoods announced a voluntary recall of select canned tuna products sold under the Genova, Van Camp's, H-E-B, and Trader Joe’s brands. These products were distributed nationwide at retailers such as Walmart, Trader Joe's, Costco, Kroger, and Publix.

Tri-Union Seafoods is recalling canned tuna sold under the Genova, Van Camp’s, H-E-B, and Trader Joe’s brand labels. The recall was initiated after Tri-Union Seafoods was notified by its supplier that the cans’ “easy open” pull tab lids have a manufacturing defect that may affect the products’ seal and possibly contaminate the tuna with clostridium botulinum (commonly referred to as botulism),
