Jalen Hurts will soon be sporting a ring as a 2025 Super Bowl champion, with a game MVP trophy on his mantle, but that hasn't diminished the criticism from some who argue the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is an elaborate game manager and the beneficiary of Saquon Barkley's brilliance.

There are two sides of the argument. One group believes that Hurts is a top five player at his position, and the other group discredits Hurts’ accomplishments, including winning Super Bowl MVP, and have used words like “overrated” to describe him.

As noted by Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni was recently asked about the perception that quarterback Jalen Hurts is somewhat of a game manager rather than an elite player at the position and is lucky that the Eagles have a stellar offensive line and a superstar play-maker in running back Saquon Barkley.
