The suspect was grieving the death of their mother, bullied at school after being hit by a drunk driver and became fixated by mass shooters, police said.

An 18-year-old Indiana student has been accused of plotting a mass shooting at school on Valentine's Day, a plan he allegedly wrote was inspired by the 2018 school shooting in Parkland, Florida, that killed 17 people.

Students and staff across the district will participate in a variety of volunteer and service projects in honor of the lives lost.
