The Kremlin warned Monday against “nuclear rhetoric” after President Trump repositioned two nuclear submarines because of what he called “foolish and inflammatory statements” by former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.

Russia has pulled out of the historic INF Treaty, blaming Donald Trump’s move to deploy nuclear submarines near its borders and accusing the West of endangering its security.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov emphasized that Russia does not view the latest movement as an "escalation" but claimed people were reacting emotionally on both sides.
