An impressive leaping catch in foul territory from three-time AL MVP Mike Trout was controversially thwarted on Saturday night when a fan ripped the ball from his glove.

A fan snatched the ball out of Mike Trout’s glove after the Los Angeles Angels star reached into the right field stands to make what appeared to be a great catch.

Meeting with the fan and his son, Trout shared a moment with them outside the Angels' clubhouse. In their interaction shared by Sam Blum of The Athletic, Trout can be heard acknowledging the fan's apologetic response to the incident. "The way you reacted, that's what it's all about," Trout said.
