NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson thinks the 2006 comedy movie, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, made the sport look like a joke. Although Larson admitted that he liked the movie, he believes it didn't do much good for NASCAR.

“Talladega Nights” is a movie about a fictional NASCAR driver, Ricky Bobby, who needs to build things back up to reach the top of the racing world again. While fans give the movie a 73 percent rating on the popular aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, Larson is not the only racer who thinks the movie is an inadequate representation of the sport.

NASCAR has continued to grow in popularity and demand in recent years, partly thanks to several Hollywood films that helped introduce the sport to new audiences.
