‘Ongoing and unacceptable risk': FAA grounds NYC helicopter tour company involved in deadly crash
Federal aviation regulators issued an emergency order Monday grounding the helicopter tour company involved in a deadly New York crash after learning it had fired its operations director minutes after he had agreed to suspend flights during the investigation.
The tourist helicopter that crashed into the Hudson did not have a flight recorder, the NTSB said on Saturday.
The National Transportation Safety Board said the aircraft's last "major" inspection took place on March 1.
