Des Moines police were called Friday afternoon to the scene of a reported shooting in the 800 block of Maury Street. Police say they received a 911 call at about 5:05 p.m. for a report of gunfire. Officers responding to the scene found one person with a gunshot wound.

One person was injured in a shooting in the Captiol View South neighborhood Friday evening. At around 5 p.m. the Des Moines Police Department responded to a report of gunshots heard in the area of the 800 block of Maury Street.
